Tired of sunken or sagging skin? Counter aging and collagen loss with Sage Wellness and Medspa’s dermal fillers.

Our dermal fillers deliver natural results that restore volume, smooth out fine lines, and give lips and cheeks a fuller look. If you are seeking a more youthful appearance, you've come to the right place!

How it works...

Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar in your skin, to attract and retain water. The soft, gel-like filler works overtime to add volume, fortify facial structure, and smooth or  “fill” wrinkles and fine lines. Injected with a cannula or needle, our dermal fillers target and address different problem areas to give you renewed, and youthful skin.

Why we love it...

Our dermal fillers create natural-looking results, using ingredients you can feel good about. Because its main ingredient HA already naturally occurs in your skin, the youthful results are natural, effective, and the right kind of subtle. Our dermal fillers are safe, non-invasive, and require minimal downtime.

Pre- & Post-Treatment Tips

  • If you wear makeup to your appointment, we'll need to remove it before your treatment in order to get a clean canvas.

  • Nervous for your first time? Bring a friend! Planning a date day for your Filler treatment makes your experience twice as fun.

  • If taken pre-treatment, arnica and bromelain can help reduce post-treatment swelling and bruising. You can also take Tylenol.

  • Avoid alcoholic beverages the night before your appointment. It can make skin more susceptible to bruising.

  • It's best to avoid aspirin and NSAIDs (Advil, Motrin, Aleve) for a week before your treatment to help reduce bruising.

  • You are not a candidate for these injections if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Cold packs are your friend. Use them liberally for 8 hours after your treatment to help reduce swelling.

  • Avoid exercise for 24 hours after your treatment. And facials are a no-go for at least 2 weeks.

  • You may lie down after fillers, but please avoid laying on your face (even the sides of your face).

  • It’s important to stay hydrated! Be sure to drink plenty of water after your treatment.

FAQs

How Do Dermal Fillers Work?

Dermal Fillers are gel-like injectable treatments that bring volume to the skin. Fillers often use hyaluronic acid to attract and retain water to "fill" wrinkles, lines, and provide structure throughout the face.

  • It's non-surgical and minimally invasive
  • Smooths and fills dynamic lines in the face and neck
  • Shapes and restores volume to cheeks, jaw, lips and more.
  • Produces a fuller, smoother, and more youthful appearance
  • Requires zero recovery time

Dermal Fillers reduce signs of aging, reverse skin damage, and fortify your skin with a boost of volume and vitality. If you’re interested in what dermal filers have to offer, book a complimentary 15-minute consultation with our experts! During your consultation, you can make a treatment plan with your provider based on your goals.

What Can I Expect at My Treatment?

At your Dermal Filler appointment, your doctor may apply a topical anesthetic on the affected area. Many of our fillers contain a light anesthetic. At most, you may experience a light pinch. After a few quick injections, you’ll be on your way!

Dermal filer injections generally takes 15-20 minutes, and you can go back to work immediately after the appointment. Most patients begin to see results almost immediately, but the final outcome will continue to develop over the following 2-3 weeks.

Is Treatment Safe?

While the earliest dermal fillers contained unstable animal products, today’s FDA-approved fillers use safe and naturally occurring elements such as hyaluronic acid. While side effects can still occur, dermal fillers are considered safe and have widely proven their ability to deliver fantastic results.

Only trust a licensed healthcare professional to inject FDA-approved filler, using a syringe. The FDA has officially warned against buying dermal fillers online, where the combination may be contaminated, fake, or harmful.

Your best guarantee for avoiding adverse side effects is to choose an experienced doctor. With the right provider, you can reduce your risk of serious side effects to virtually zero.

Filler Side Effects

Some, but not all patients may experience:

  • Itching
  • Tenderness
  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Bruising

Side effects will subside rapidly and should not affect daily activities or work.

Is Treatment Right for me?

Healthy men and women experiencing facial volume loss are good candidates for dermal fillers.

Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant should wait to get filler.

During your consultation, your doctor will ask you about any allergies, current medications, and underlying conditions. We will make sure that dermal fillers are safe and appropriate for you.[ii]

What Should I Avoid After Treatment?

After your treatment: No lying down for 4 hours; no exercise/working out for 24 hours; no facials for 2 weeks.

Try to avoid excessive touching of the target area for the first 24 hours. You may want to avoid salty foods and alcoholic beverages that contribute to swelling.

Can I Go Back To Work After My Treatment?

You sure can! The great thing about this treatment is there's virtually no downtime. There's no reason you can't fit this treatment into your lunch break without skipping a beat, but keep in mind you experience some temporary redness, swelling, and bruising.

When Will I See Results?

Noticeable results should appear almost immediately.

It can take around 2 weeks to see the full results. You may need repeated treatments to address a problem area and maintain your results.

How Long Will My Results Last?

Different kinds of dermal fillers have varying lengths of how long the results will last.

While some fillers last 6 months, others are lasting multiple years. Set up a consultation to explore the filler options available at Sage Wellness and Medspa.
